Projects, Resources and Tasks

ARQ+ enables publishers to structure their content and projects into efficient types and workflows. The three main components within the system are Projects, Resources and Tasks.

Projects#

Projects are collections of content and tasks; you can access your projects from the MY PROJECTS menu in the header of the system.

An example of a project could be a book, report or journal issue. Projects can be open(public) so everyone can access them, or they can be restricted to particular users or user groups.

Resources#

Resources are uploaded documents or collections of metadata and can be part of projects. You can access resources by using the quick search or by visiting a project page.

An example of a resource could be an author manuscript, a cover image, or a contract.

Tasks#

Tasks are assigned to users within the system and normally indicate that action needs to be performed. Projects can have a project plan attached to them and the project plan is comprised of individual tasks. You can see all your currently assigned tasks from the MY TASKS page.
An example of a task might be “Review manuscript submission”
